Pete Silver is an architect with experience of the construction industry, public sector housing, teaching, research and private practice.
Silver has worked as a housing researcher at the Land Use Research Unit, King's College London, and as a design tutor at the Architectural Association and at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. He has been joint coordinator of Technical Studies at the University of Westminster School of Architecture for 25 years, and has
Instigated a number of initiatives with respect to the organization and delivery of
Technical courses. In 2010, Silver provided the headline address at the International Conference on Architectural Technology held at the University of Camerino Faculty of Architecture, Ascoli Piceno, Italy.
Silver is the joint author of five architectural textbooks which together are published in nine languages and have sold over 10,000 copies worldwide. He was for 10 years a Director of the Chartered Practice Architects Ltd.
